The OnePlus Nord CE4 is a mid-range smartphone offering a balance of features at a competitive price point. It comes with a refreshed design, impressive display, a powerful processor, and a solid battery life.
OnePlus Nord CE4 features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 1080p FHD+ resolution. With a 120Hz refresh rate, the screen provides a smooth viewing experience for gaming and other everyday tasks. The display is also reasonably bright for outdoor use with 1100nits peak brightness support.
The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, which is decent in performance and fairly up-to-date. Paired with 8GB RAM, the device delivers capable performance for daily use and can handle most apps and games without any issues. However, the performance is not equivalent to a flagship device. So users who prioritize heavy gaming or demanding applications may need to look for other high-end phones with the latest processors.
The camera system on the OnePlus Nord CE4 is also impressive. The phone features a new Sony LYT600 1/1.95″ main sensor with an 8MP ultrawide lens, which takes excellent photos in good lighting conditions. Low-light performance is also satisfactory but not beyond average. The phone can capture 4K video at 30fps or 1080p at 60fps. The device also supports OIS and can record Slow-Mo at 120fps or 240fps.
The battery life of Nord CE4 is a major strength of the device. The phone boasts a large 5,500mAh battery, which offers excellent timing and can easily last a full day or even two on a single charge with moderate usage. The phone also supports 100W fast charging, which can quickly top up the battery in a short time.
The OnePlus Nord CE4 also has a few shortcomings. The phone lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack which is a considerable drawback for those who prefer wired headphones. Additionally, while the camera is decent overall, low-light performance is just average. However, if you are a wireless headphone user and just an everyday photographer, this phone has no significant downsides.
The OnePlus Nord CE4 is a solid mid-range option for users looking for a phone with a long-lasting battery, a smooth display, and decent performance for everyday use. The camera system is good enough for casual photography, and the fast charging is a convenient feature. However, the lack of a headphone jack and low-light photography are a few points to consider before finalizing the decision.
